When you cancel an app, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing cycle. The cancellation takes effect on your next billing date. For more information, see GitHub Marketplace app subscriptions.

When you cancel a free trial on a paid plan, your subscription is immediately canceled and you will lose access to the app. If you don't cancel your free trial within the trial period, the payment method on file for your account will be charged for the plan you chose at the end of the trial period. Canceling an app or downgrading an app to free does not affect your other paid subscriptions on GitHub. If you want to cease all of your paid subscriptions on GitHub, you must downgrade each paid subscription separately.

Canceling an app for your personal account

1. In the upper-right corner of any page on GitHub, click your profile picture, then click Settings.
2. In the "Access" section of the sidebar, click Billing and licensing, then click Usage.
3. Under "GitHub Marketplace," next to the app you want to cancel, select the Edit dropdown menu, then click Cancel plan.
4. In the dialog box, click OK.

Canceling a free trial for an app for your personal account

1. In the upper-right corner of any page on GitHub, click your profile picture, then click Settings.
2. In the "Access" section of the sidebar, click Billing and licensing, then click Usage.
3. Under "GitHub Marketplace," next to the free trial you'd like to cancel, use the Edit drop-down and click Cancel plan.
4. In the dialog box, click OK.

Canceling an app for your organization

1. In the upper-right corner of GitHub, click your profile picture, then click Your organizations.
2. Next to the organization, click Settings.
3. In the "Access" section of the sidebar, click Billing and plans.
4. Under "GitHub Marketplace," next to the app you want to cancel, select the Edit dropdown menu, then click Cancel plan.
5. In the dialog box, click OK.

Canceling a free trial for an app for your organization

1. In the upper-right corner of GitHub, click your profile picture, then click Your organizations.
2. Next to the organization, click Settings.
3. In the "Access" section of the sidebar, click Billing and plans.
4. Under "GitHub Marketplace," next to the free trial you'd like to cancel, use the Edit drop-down and click Cancel plan.
5. In the dialog box, click OK.

Canceling an app in your enterprise

1. In the top-right corner of GitHub, click your profile picture.
2. Depending on your environment, click Your enterprise, or click Your enterprises then click the enterprise you want to view.
3. At the top of the page, click Billing and licensing.
4. In the "Marketplace apps" tab, find the app you want to cancel.
5. Next to the organization where you want to cancel the app, select and then click Cancel plan.
6. Click Confirm.
